On the afternoon of March 30th, the University Vice-President Wu Jiang met Ms. Hadjukand and her delegation. She was the Deputy Mayor of Hamburg, Germany in charge of urban planning and environment.
Wu warmly received the guests and introduced the urban planning programs our university participated especially the 2010 Shanghai World Expo planning work including later uses of the World Expo venues. Ms. Hadjuk said that as sister cities, Shanghai and Hamburg had maintained a complementary and favorable relationship in many aspects for a long time. She hoped to develop further cooperation with Tongji University on architecture, urban planning, environmental science and automobile engineering. This time, Ms. Hadjuk would attend theHamburg Exhibition Hallconstruction beginning ceremony of 2010 World Expo and would make contacts with the relevant parties for programs-Hamburg Port City, 2013 International Builders’ Show, 2011 Environmental City and some other programs.
Li Zhenyu, Director of Foreign Affairs Office, Li Fengting, Dean of Tongji Environmental Science and Engineering and UNEP ＆ Sustainable Development College and Ma Jun, Dean of Automotive College were present at the meeting.
