Ministry of Education Authorized Tongji to Give Overseas Students Preparatory Education

Recently, approved and authorized by Ministry of Education, Tongji University, Bejijing Language and Culture University and Central China Teachers University will jointly launched preparatory education for overseas undergraduate students with Chinese Government Scholarships from this year. There are altogether 6 universities doing this work in China plus Tianjing University, Shandong University and Nanjing Normal University approved previously. According to the Ministry of Education, from September 1stnext year, the overseas undergraduate students with Chinese Government Scholarships will receive preparatory education before professional learning which lasts two years for liberal arts students and one year for students majoring in science, engineering, agriculture and medical science. The university that approves them will undertake this preparatory educational mission. The overseas students who have finished the preparatory courses and have passed the exam and the annual scholarship assessment will obtain the certificates. With this certificate, the students can enter the undergraduate studies and no need to take the entrance examination.
