On April 17th, the University Vice-President Dong Qi met Istituto Universitario di Studi Superiori di Pavia (IUSS) delegation and warmly welcomed President Schmid for his second visit. During the meeting, Dong Qi expressed heartfelt thanks to IUSS and University of Pavia for their close cooperation with Tongji University and to Prof. Schmid for his contribution in Sino-Italian College construction. Meanwhile Dong hoped the two sides could increase communication and cooperation based on Sino-Italian College as a platform. Then, the Italian side with Civil Engineering College, Architecture and Urban Planning College with UNEP-Tongji Environment and Sustainable Development Research College agreed to start cooperative projects on disaster prevention, urban architecture seminar and international master course of urban environment evaluation during the period between 2010 Shanghai World EXPO and 2015 Milan World EXPO and finally signed the cooperation agreements respectively.
