From 11th to 14th of Nov, a Tongji delegation led by Vice President Dong Qi visited Khartoum, Sudan and attended “The first China-Arab Cooperation Forum of Higher Education and Scientific Research”. Some 12 Chinese universities and 15 Arabic countries and organizations attended the forum.
On Nov 10th, Dong made a speech on the opening ceremony of the forum, introducing the achievements of the cooperation between Tongji and UNEP in the programme of waste water recycling in African Arabic countries and the young environment leaders cultivation programme for African countries in recent years.
During the visit, Dong, on behalf of Tongji University, also signed a cooperative agreement with Nile University, Sudan.
