On the afternoon of June 1, the auditorium in the School of Transportation Engineering was packed. Professor Samer Madanat, dean of the Institute of Transportation Studies (ITS), University of California, Berkeley (UCB), provided an excellent report titled “A Bottom-Up Pavement Management System; Extension to Minimization of Lifecycle Costs and Lifecycle Impacts” to the teachers and students of our School of Transportation Engineering.
