On August 10th, Shanghai Summer School 2011 (Tongji) & the first Excellence Alliance Summer Camp opened in Tongji. Vice President Wu Zhiqiang attended the opening ceremony and gave the opening speech.
This Summer Camp is co-organized by Tongji University (Shanghai), Northwestern Politechnical University (Xi'an) and Chongqing University (Chongqing) from August 7 to September 3, 2011. Nine universities within Excellence Alliance and their partner universities in Europe selected around 50 students to participate in this summer camp.
From the first summer camp, Excellence Alliance will organize one summer camp every year, to be co-hosted by three universities.
