A Tongji delegation visited USA from Sep. 29 to Oct. 5, 2011. The delegation attended the preparatory meeting for the second Tongji-Berkeley Alliance Conference in University of California, Berkeley, where Director Pengfei He of Science and Technology of Tongji introduced the International Postdoc Program. They also paid a visit to the Institute of East Asian Studies at UC Berkeley and discussed the cooperation in various fields of social sciences and humanities and set up the time to hold the first Tongji--Institute of East Asian Studies UC Berkeley workshop in May, 2012. In addition, the delegation was warmly received by Lehigh University. They discussed the student exchange, faculty exchange, double degree program and joint research in sciences, engineering and humanities. Besides, they also participated in the awarding ceremony of the Solar Decathlon Competition in Washington and conveyed greetings to the Tongji students and teachers on behalf of the university.
The delegation is made up of Professors and directors of departments and schools of Tongji University.
