From Nov. 9th to 15th, a delegation led by Fang Shouen, Vice President of Tongji University visited cooperative universities-Politecnico di Milano, Politecnico di Torino, and University of Bologna of Italy. The delegation consisted of professors and teachers from the Graduate School, Sino-Italian Campus, the Office of Academic Affairs and other related departments.
Prof. Fang Shouen met Rectors and related professors from the Politecnico di Milano, Politecnico di Torino, and University of Bologna and exchanged opinions on research and cooperation to strengthen and further cooperation. While the fruits of joint cooperation over the years were greatly acknowledged by the universities, they further agreed on the establishment of education, technology, culture and enterprise cooperation. An intercollegiate agreement was signed by University of Bologna and Tongji University. On Nov. 15th, the first Tongji Day was successfully staged in the Politecnico di Milano.
During the visits, Prof. Fang Shouen also visited Tongji students in Italy, encouraging them to complete their studies and to contribute to the cooperation of technology and culture between two countries.
