On 17th and 18th November, “the 5th Sino-French Sustainable Urban Transport Systems Forum (Forum THNS)” jointly organized by Tongji University and ParisTech was held in Sino-French Centre of Tongji University. Prof. Wu Jiang, Vice President of Tongji University, M. Zhou Hongyun, Executive Deputy Director of Shanghai Railway Bureau and Ms. Gaëlle LE GOFF, Representative of ParisTech in China attended the opening ceremony and addressed speeches.
This Forum is titled as “Green Multimodal Transport” with various discussions around the relevance theory, the technological methodology and the experience cases. About 150 Chinese and French academics and experts (including around 30 French experts), political decision-makers, industry representatives, professors and students in the fields of urban planning and management, transportation, public transport, energy and environment participated in the Forum.
During the Forum, Vice President Wu Jiang and M. Marcel SMETS, the President of the Scientific Committee of the “Institut pour la Ville en Mouvement (IVM)” awarded the prizes to the winning Chinese universities of the Design Competition “Better Mobility, Better Life” supported by IVM.
