From Nov.15th to 24th, Prof. Dong Qi, Vice President for international affairs, led a delegation to the partners in the UK and USA.
During the stay in the UK, the delegation visited Sheffield University, University of College London and Central Saint Martin College of Art and Design. At Sheffield University, two parties concentrated on the topics of developing international 2+2 program in the areas of art and design, landscape, international relations and oral medicine. In addition, the delegation discussed with the partners about the possibilities of initiating an English College and strategic partner network in the UK.
In the USA, the delegation visited John Hopkins University, Georgetown University, Lehigh University and Columbia University. At Lehigh University, the topics include the development of strategic partnership, which will enhance the student exchange, faculty exchange, dual Master degree program and co-hosting summer programs. At John Hopkins University and Georgetown University, two parties discussed the research collaboration and education communication in the fields of contemporary German and European studies. When they visited Colombia University, a dual Master program in the civil engineering was discussed. In addition to the official visits, the delegation met Tongji Alumni Association in Washington DC and New York.
