On the 7thof November, the five days long, 17thChina International Industry Fair of 2015, ended in the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Appraised by experts, the two exhibition projects “Intelligent city data platform system” and “The technology and application of stabilization, clean and restoration of heavy metal polluted soil and sites” organized by our university have won the Grand Prize and the 2ndPrize respectively in the Chinese universities exhibition area.
“Intelligent city data platform system” is a project recommended by the College of Architecture and Urban Planning. The project is based on data-mining technology, index intelligent integration technology, anomaly detection technology and taboo search technology. The project has developed an intelligent city data platform system through integrating multi-source data of cities. This system can acquire real-time interest data in various fields of a city and carry out mathematical modeling and intelligent analyses on the city’s natural features, living environment, economics and society, as well as new data, thus providing effective support and reference for urban planning and diagnosis.
The second presentation is a project developed by the College of Environmental Science and Engineering. This project has adopted a new type of heavy metal stabilization -- functionalized nano-dendritic polymer, which can restore heavy metal polluted soil and sites safely and achieve clean and restoration effect when combined with the chemical leaching technology. Having applied for six patents for invention and two American patents now, the technology has brought considerable economic and social benefits as various heavy metal polluted soil, sites and river sediments have been successfully treated with this technology.
Our university’s participation in the industry fair has received positive remarks from the organizing committee of the Chinese universities exhibition area to win “Outstanding Organization Award of the Chinese universities exhibition area”.
