In response to the government`s plan for a Healthy China 2030, and to improve family doctor team building for better medical teaching, services and management, the 8th Sino-US(Shanghai) Symposium and Training Class on Family Medicine were held at the Sino-French Center of Tongji University, Hospital attached to the university and community health centers affiliated with Tongji University School of Medicine (TUSM), October 23 - 27. The symposium was co-organized by Tongji University School of Medicine (TUSM) and University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), USA..
On the morning of October 24th, the opening ceremony of the symposium took place at the Sino-French Center of Tongji University. Medical experts and scholars from UNMC, TUSM and hospitals affiliated with Tongji University provided training to teachers and administrators from the Department of Family Medicine and other related departments.
