Tongji Innovation &Entrepreneurship Day and the final of “Acceleration inEpidemic” College Students Business Plan Competition were successfully held at the Venture Valley of Tongji University on May 30. Present at the events were XU Jianping, vice partysecretary of Tongji University; HU Jinhua, member of the University Board of Members, founder of Shanghai Huajie Charity Foundation, partner of CDF-Capital, and president of Tongda Investment HoldingsCo., Ltd; LIU Run, assistant of the University president and director of the Office of Graduate Student Affairs; ZHONG Mo, president of KEDA Hydraulic Machinery Co., Ltd.; XIE Yujuan, partner of CDF-Capital; WANG Huan, chief digital offer of Saint-Gobain in the Asia- Pacific Region; CHEN Xixi, founder of Shanghai ChargeDot Electric Vehicle Technologies Co., Ltd.; ZHU Jiang, partner of Shanghai Assets Management, and peoplefromadministrative officesof Tongji University and from 37 investment institutions. The events were broadcasted live online (ZOOM)on thestreamingplatforms of YoungBusiness Startersand Zhongqi Video, attracting 35,000 audiences in total.
Tongda-Dongfang Innovation &Entrepreneurship Foundationestablished by Tongji alumni HU Jinhua and XIAO Shuilongwas initiatedon that day for coordination of resources fromTongji Venture Valleyand funds from alumni and other parties for cooperation between student innovative practices and social resources.A total of 2,100,000 CYNwas injected as the first-time funds and no less than 30,000,000 CYN would follow as additional investments. Moreover, furthercooperation will be expected between the Venture Valley and the Foundation on project tracking services,and innovation and entrepreneurshippractices. As part of the event, a memorandum of cooperation was signed by ZHU Jiang, representative of Tongda Assets Management and CHEN Cheng, secretary of Youth League Committee of Tongji University.
Atotal of 39 programs in technological innovation,future industries, urban governance and eco-environment protectionjoined in the “Acceleration Camp” as a result of one-month promotion by Tongji Youth League Committee, six of which werepresented on that day to encourage Tongji students in their application of knowledgeto the economic and social development.
