1) China International Import Expo2019

The 2nd China International Import Expo (CIIE) kicked off in Shanghai on Nov. 5, 2019. Over 3,000 companies from 150 countries and regions signed up, including more than 250 Fortune Global 500 companies.

In CIIE 2018, transactions worth US$57.83 billion were reached, among which US$4.72 billion related to countries along the Belt and Road area. Four buyers’ alliances were formed during the event. A one- stop transaction service platform was built. A permanent venue was set up in the Hongqiao area offering the display of bonded products, trade, logistics and warehousing and Customs clearance services.

2) ‘HSBC Cup’ Golf World Championship

The HSBC Champions tournament of 2009 has been elevated to the elite stable of World Golf Championship with a prize fund of USD8.5 million. It not only maintains the tournament’s format of bringing together tournament winners from all over the world, but also attracts the best players from the International Federation’s Tours.

3) Shaolin Monks’ divine athleticism: Sutra

4) Roald Dahl's Matilda: the Musical

The Royal Shakespeare Company's multi-award winning musical, inspired by Roald Dahl's beloved book, is headed for Shanghai at the end of 2019. Written by Dennis Kelly and with original songs by Tim Minchin, Matilda the Musical is the story of an extraordinary little girl who, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, dares to take a stand and change her own destiny.
