    Secretary of the CPC Committee of Tongji University​

    FANG Shou'en was born in December 1961 in Cixi, Zhejiang Province, China. He obtained his BSc in road engineering in 1984, MSc in road and airport engineering in 1994 and PhD in road and railway engineering in 2000 from Tongji University respectively. He joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in December1983 and began his teaching career at Tongji University uponcompletion of his first degree at Tongji in 1984. FANG worked as head the teaching group of Road and Traffic engineering from 1997 to 2000, and became the vice head of the Department of Road and Transportation Engineering, Tongji University in 2000. He served as CPC Party Secretary of College of Traffic and Transportation Engineering from 2002 to 2010, and as a Vice Party Secretary of the CPC Committee of Tongji University from 2010 to 2016. He assumed the role of Executive Vice Secretary of the CPC Committee of Tongji University in September 2016 and became the Secretary of the CPC Committee of Tongji University in July 2017. 



  • ZHENG Qinghua

    President

    Zheng Qinghua, born in January 1969 is from Shengzhou, Zhejiang Province. Prof. Dr. Zheng is a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC). He was a standing member of the CPC Committee of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU), Vice-president, and Executive Vice-president of XJTU. He has been President of Tongji University and Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of Tongji University since February 2023.Professor Zheng Qinghua is the Director of the Ministry of Education (MOE) Key Lab for Intelligent Networks and Network Security, a Member of the Academic Divisions of the MOE Science & Technology Commission, Director of the National College Computer Education Advisory Board under MOE, and a winner of the National Funds for Distinguished Young Scientists, and a leader of the Creative Research Group of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.Professor Zheng focused his research on big data knowledge engineering and has achieved outstanding achievements. He won three Second Prizes in the National Scientific and Technological Progress Award, a First Prize and two Second Prizes in the National Teaching Achievement Award, and five First Prizes in the Scientific and Technological Progress Awards at the Ministerial and Provincial-level. He was the winner of the Scientific and Technological Progress Award 2022 of the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation, and the Special Award of Scientific and Technological Progress of the Chinese Association of Automation. He also a number of other honors including the “Qiu Shi” Distinguished Youth Award by the China Association for Science and Technology, the Science and Technology Award for Young and Middle-aged Talents, special government allowances of the State Council, the Outstanding Award of Bao Steel Excellent Teacher, the National Outstanding University Teacher, and Leading Worker of Science and Technology Innovation in China’s Information Industry.
