Key laboratories, usually specializing in particular areas of research and funded by national and subnational authorities, play a pivotal role in catalyzing breakthroughs in frontier technologies. As one of the foremost research-oriented universities in China, Tongji University has a growing fleet of key laboratories in various disciplines. Building on past success, Tongji actively seeks the trinity of research, development, and industrialization by addressing the international frontier technologies and contributing to sustainable development.
