Financial Times (FT) released Top 25 Business Schools: Asia-Pacific (Based on Global 2018 Rankings) recently. Business schools from China, Singapore, India, Australia and South Korea were in this year’s ranking. The School of Economics and Management (SEM) of Tongji University was ranked as No.10 in Asia-Pacific this year.

The ranking for Asia-Pacific was based on the global rankings of four core teaching programs of business schools: MBA, Executive MBA (EMBA), Masters in Management (MiM) and two sub-programs for Executive Education (EE Open & EE Custom), weighing 25% each. This ranking reflected the quality and breadth of business schools’ postgraduate programs and their core competency.

With a history of over six decades, Tongji SEM has developed unique characteristics in the integration of economics and management. Currently, Tongji University boasts four first-level disciplines in management science and engineering, business administration, applied economics and public administration. In the National Discipline Ranking Assessment by Ministry of Education in 2017, management science and engineering of SEMbroke into the A+ rank among the 187 participating colleges and universities, thus making Tongji one of the top three universities in this discipline. The MBA and MPA programs entered the A rank in the first national professional degree assessment in 2018. Besides, Tongji SEM has achieved domestic and international recognized accreditation standards such as AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA, CAMEA, PMI-GAC, and has become influential over the years.
