On November 28th, a seminar on Technological Innovation & Trade Secret Judicial Protection was held in Shanghai. It was organized by the Research Base (Shanghai) for Intellectual Property Judicial Protection of Science and Technological Innovation of the Supreme People's Court and Shanghai Law Society, and hosted by Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property of Tongji University and Shanghai Intellectual Property Court. More than 80 representatives from the Supreme People's Court, State Administration for Market Regulations, Shanghai Law Society, courts and universities across the country attended the Seminar.

An inauguration ceremony of the China Intellectual Property Judicial Protection Theoretical Research Base (Tongji University) was held before the Seminar started. In order to further advanced research on the judicial protection of intellectual property rights and China's judicial practice in the new era, to learn from the experience of international intellectual property protection and continuously strengthen the application of theory in practice, the Supreme People's Court established the Intellectual Property Judicial Protection Theory Research Base backed by Shanghai International College of International Property of Tongji University. Mr. LIN Guanghai, deputy chief judge of the Intellectual Property Division of the Supreme People's Court, and Prof. WU Jiang, the executive vice president of Tongji University, jointly unveiled the name plate of the Research Base.
