The third sessionof Council Meeting of the Silk Road Think Tank Association (SRTA) along with a silk road seminar were held in Beijing on February 24th. GUO Yezhou, Vice Minister of IDCPC, WEI Jianguo, former Vice Minister of Commerce and Vice Chairman of China Center for International Economic Exchanges and leaders of leading universities and colleges under Ministry of Education attended the meeting and seminar organized by the China Center for Contemporary World Studies affiliated to the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC) which serves as the Secretariat of SRTA.

More than 200 people from 93 domestic think tanks and entrepreneurs explored issues on how to promote “the Belt and Road’’ initiatives and how to prepare for “the Belt and Road’’ Summit to be held in May 2017.Professor MEN Honghua, Director of the Tongji Research Institute for China Strategies,Dean of School of Political Science and International Relations of Tongji University and a member of the Council for SRTA, Professor LI Xinghua, Executive Vice director of Tongji University Research Institute for National Innovation and Development and WANG Wei, directorassistant,were present atthe meeting and seminar.
