On October 18, the volunteer launch ceremony of the 3rd China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held at Hong Arena of National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Nearly 500 young volunteer representatives attended the ceremony along with over 4,300 volunteers who join the ceremony online. A total of 111 Tongji students will work as volunteers for the 3rd CIIE, among whom are students from 24 colleges including Civil Engineering, Economics and Management, Electronic and Information Engineering. A total of 880 Tongji students signed up for the 3rd CIIE volunteer service this year. Among the 110 Tongji volunteers known as “Little Leaves”, there are 78 Communist Youth League members and 30 Chinese Communist Party members and probationary party members, including 3 veteran CIIE volunteers and 8 pandemic prevention and control volunteers. At present, the 3rd CIIE volunteers are receiving basic campus training, key municipal training and on-the-job training.
