LI Chong is from Wuhan and has a deep affection for his hometown. He said:

After the outbreak of COVID-19 epidemic, I have strengthened my determination to develop my career in Wuhan. I want to do something for my hometown. The outstanding contributions made by CSADI in this fight against the pandemic has shown me the responsibility of state-owned enterprises, and therefore I take it as my first choice for graduate job hunting.

In the past summer, LI Chong chose to go to CSADI’s BIM Design Institute for an internship. During the internship, he had a comprehensive understanding of the project workflow at the BIM Design Institute, learned the various structural software applications, and participated in making structural construction drawings. In the meantime, he completed various tasks assigned by his supervisor, and developed a keen interest in the development and application of BIM software. He was able to learn new knowledge and new technology quickly, and worked very hard, which left a deep impression on his supervisor.  By the end of the internship, he became one of the excellent graduates of the Creative Star Summer Internship Program of the Design Institute.

Recently, the autumn recruitment of 2021 graduates kicked off, and LI Chong submitted his resume to the CSADI. In view of LI Chong's outstanding comprehensive performance during the Summer Internship, CSADI decided to give him a Creative Star exemption offer.

According to CSADI, LI Chong was studious and hardworking during the internship. He was able to draw inferences about other cases from one instance, and he can apply the knowledge learned from classrooms to specific design work. He was able to integrate rapidly into the work team, adapt to an unfamiliar environment quickly and learn to use YJK, SAP2000 and other software skillfully in a short time. All this showed his professionalism, teamwork spirit, and learning and problem-solving abilities.

LI Chong said:

I will try to give full play to what I have learned from my major by applying knowledge from textbooks in workplace. I will make all efforts to become an excellent structural designer who can undertake tasks alone as soon as possible, and make my contributions to the technological, economic and social development of my hometown Hubei.

The reporter learned the CSADI has maintained close cooperation with Tongji in talent cultivation, technology transfer and other aspects. In recent years, CSADI have signed a number of project cooperation framework agreements with Tongji University, introduced Tongji professors as high-end experts in the company’s expert workstation, and strengthened the introduction of Tongji graduates in an attempt to promote further cooperation, mutual benefit and win-win results between two parties in the future. Last month, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of CSADI and the Leishenshan makeshift Hospital Project Design Commander YANG Jianhua attended Tongji’s 2020 freshmen opening ceremony and gave his speech as an outstanding alumni representative. She also held the first career talk for the graduates of 2021 at Tongji, which made Tongji University become the first stop of the campus recruitment activities of CSADI this year. Among the current large number of Tongji alumni at CSADI, most of them have grown into management backbones and technical leaders at all levels.

At the signing ceremony of the day, YANG Jianhua said they were able to make an important contribution to the fight against COVID-19 this time because of the company's mission and long-term accumulation of technology and talent. CSADI attaches great importance to the introduction and training of talents, and welcomes Tongji University to continue sending outstanding young talents to the company in the future.

During the fight against COVID-19, CSADI, as a state-owned large design institute in Wuhan, was entrusted with the mission at a critical and difficult moment. They completed 38 anti-pandemic projects, including Leishenshan Hospital, and edited and coedited a number of rules, norms, and guidelines such as the Design Guidelines for Temporary Respiratory Infectious Disease Hospitals (for trial implementation), thus making outstanding contributions to winning the battle of Wuhan pandemic prevention and control. The company’s Party Committee was awarded “National Advanced Collective in Fighting COVID-19” and “National Advanced Primary Party Organization” titles.
