On September 25, WU Jiang, Executive Vice President of Tongji University, held a video conference with Sophie Mougard, President of Ecole des Ponts ParisTech (ENPC) to exchange information on recent developments and strategy update of the two universities. ENPC has a long history of cooperation with our university. Following a three-party agreement among ENPC, Paris Institute of Technology (ParisTech Institut des Sciences et Technologies) and Tongji University in 1998, IFCIM (Institut franco-chinois d’ingénierie et de management) was established jointly at Tongji University in 1999. ENPC and Tongji launched the SIMBA (Shanghai International MBA) program and the Sino-French Double-Master’s Degree Program in Intelligent Transportation in 2000 and 2001 successively. Since 2008, both universities have carried out a two-way double-diploma exchange program which awards the French engineer diploma and Tongji University Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environment, Transportation, Automotive, Aviation and Mechanics. Together in 2016, both universities designed and launched an international Master’s Degree Program in Rail Transit. In addition, they have actively carried out non-degree student exchanges, scientific research cooperation, joint doctoral cultivation, and other cooperation over the past two decades. They have been making preparation for the establishment of Sino-French Innovation Center since 2017.
