August 9 marked the official delivery of the first batch of the Tongji’s Letters of Admissionfor 2020, as Shanghai candidate WUYutingwas the first undergraduate studentto receive hers.

The design theme of this year's Tongji undergraduate student Letter of Admission is: "Brave the Wind and Waves" with the overall design being solemn and meaningful. We hope to leave a precious and unique memory for every new student. The Letters of Admission have undergone nearly 60 traditional and contemporary printing techniques, and more than 80% of the raw materials used in their printing are from recycled or renewable resources.

The front of the envelope has a replica of the old Tongji University logo, which is a reprint of the design draft from the University logo. When you remove this logo, you will see the current version of the logo, which symbolizes "Carrying on the Past." In fact, it is still a refrigerator magnet that students can use at home.
Embossed on the envelope, the University motto:"Together in the Same Boat." Inside the envelope are the original and copy of the letter the students are looking forward to the most.

There is also a mysterious gift includedwith this year's Letter of Admission; a drawing titled "Realizing the Ambition," which showsTongji’s Four-Year Master Plan. Students can write their most exciting memories atTongji on this drawing. The four-year major has only been atthe University for 200 weeks, so the "Time Meter" book was also sent to each new student admittedin and after the 200th week. On the front page of this book, there are messages from the Tongji University Party Secretary FANGShouen and President CHENJie, hoping every new Tongji student has great ambitions, cherish their youth, and work hard.

At the same time, this year’s Undergraduate Letter of Admission hopes to share and inheritmuch joy and gratitude of the word "TONG." After receiving the letter, freshmen can scan the QR code issued on the letter to send the "new gift" to parents, teachers, and future Tongji students.
