A delegationof Chinese Football Association (CFA)headed by Mr. CHEN Xuyuan, president of CFA,visited Tongji University on the morning of May 22. FANG Shouen, party secretary of Tongji University, WUJiang, executive vice presidentof the university, and LEIXinghui, vice presidentof the university,met the visitors along with peoplefrom Department of Physical Education and International College of Football (ICF), Tongji University.

FANGintroducedto CHEN andhis delegationthe long football history ofTongji University. According to FANG,ICF will integrate its development withTongji’sadvantageous disciplines to buildits unique features and brand. It will assume more responsibilities in promoting the football industry in its healthy and stable development in China.

CHEN gave hisrecognition to ICFootballwhen he learnt about the details ofits student cultivation, teacher resources and academic development. Henoted the lack of professional managers in China's football markettoday, a wide gap both in quantity and quality of professional managers between China and western countries where football has seen its professional development for decades. He wished to see Tongji University, one of the leading universities in China, to develop a first-class college of football on basis of its cutting-edge subjects. To this end, CFA will be willing togive help and support.

The two sides expressed their wish for further cooperation following extensive discussions.
