On the morning of April 23, anonlineceremony was heldfor the "One to One" Help Actbetween Tongji University and Yangtze University to help with the employment of graduates of the latter. Present at the ceremony were XU Jianping, vice Party secretary of Tongji University;LIU Run, assistant to the President of Tongji University and ZHOUSizhu, vice president of Yangtze University; XU Bo, director of the Student Employment Center of Yangtze Universityalong with people fromdifferent departments of Tongji University including the Undergraduate School, School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the Career Centerand Tongji Innovation and Entrepreneurship Co. Limited as well as peoplefrom the Academic Affairs Office of Yangtze University.
At the ceremony, peopleresponsible forstudent employment affairs from the two universities discussed the difficulties and problems faced by the 2020 graduates, explored ways to implement the "One to One" Help Act.
LIU Run and XU Bo signed the "One to One”Help Act between Tongji University and Yangtze University on behalf of the two universities. According to the agreement, the two universities will have cooperation in sharing job information, seeking more employment channels, strengthening employment guidance, making better use of teaching resources, carrying out joint practices, improving management, and sharing employment services.
Soon after the Ministry of Education of China launched the "Oneto One" Help Act for universities across the country to helpuniversities in Hubei with their student employment, Tongji University responded quicklyand held a video conference on joint student employment on April 14. A “One to One” Help page was set up on Tongji Employment,the official WeChat account of Tongji Universityon April 17. A joint online job fair (for civil engineering) was staged on April 25. Up to now, 4 online recruitment fairs and 4 free online employment classes have been jointly organized, and a tailor-made menu of career education and recruitment activities has been prepared for all students from Yangtze University.
