The Dunhuang Caves known as "Art Galleries in the Desert" and "Museums on the Wall" are the art treasures on the Silk Road and the pearl of human culture.
Mr. YU Qiuyu, a well-known writer in China, said, "when you wonder around the Mogao Grottoes at Dunhuang, what meet your eyes are not specimens that have been dead for a thousand years, but lives that have been living for a thousand years. They seem to have been alive for a thousand years, as if their blood flow was smooth, and their breathing unblocked. What a magnificent life! "
In 2019, we are with Dunhuang again. In October, the Hall of Haven provided a fun Dunhuang experience class for primary and middle school students who came to visit Tongji. The students were deeply fascinated by the profoundness of the Dunhuang Art: the technology, folklore, dance, landscape and animals. Color pencils and line drawings of Dunhuang Art were also provided for the students at the Hall where they enjoyed every minute of their "hand-painted Dunhuang" experience. The students found it hard to say good-bye when the 40-minute experience time passed in a blink of an eye.
