On November 26, Tonghe Class of the College of Freshman organized an activity called “Dialogue with Professor WANG” at the129 Auditorium of Siping Campus to help the freshmen of Tongji with a better plan for their upcoming four years at the University and for a brighter life in the future. Professor WANG Pinxian, an academician of the China Academy of Sciences, spent long hours talking with the students and provided them with suggestions and tips on how to study and how to do things to improve oneself as a human being. More than 400 teachers and students from Tonghe Class participated in this Dialogue.

Five students told WANG about their puzzles about their personal pursuit, academic study and research, and asked him for advice. WANG responded to their puzzles by sharing his own life experience with vivid examples. His interesting and insightful responses set students think and aroused rounds of applause from time to time. In the end, WANG suggested that students remain humble, be consistent in their pursuit, and be open to things . He wished all the students find their life at Tongji University worthwhile.

The Dialogue ended in a relaxed and happy atmosphere and students said that they had benefited a lot from it.
