On November 16th, Shanghai College Student Swimming Championships 2019 started at the swimming pool at the Jiading Campus, Tongji University. The event was organized by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, and hosted by Federation of University Sports of Shanghai and Shanghai Jiao Tong University with support from the Swimming Branch of Federation of University Sports of Shanghai, Shanghai Swimming Association and Tongji University. A total of 23 university teams from Shanghai including Fudan University, and 422 athletes and coaches participated in the competition to compete for medals in 74 fields in Group A (Group Sunshine), Group B and Group C. The High-level Tongji University Swimming Team of 15 men and 10 women athletes led by two coaches, ZHANG Fenglin and PANG Jiayin, took part in the competitions of Group B and Group C. After fierce competitions for a whole day, our athletes won 13 gold medals, 12 silver medals and 9 bronze medals, winning the highest score of Group C, and the fifth place in total score of Group B. The Group Sunshine Swimming Team of 14 students led by FENG Linlin joined the competition of Group A, winning the fifth place in Group A, the fourth place in three fields and the fifth place in three fields.
