On November 9, 2019, the College of Civil Engineering of Tongji University held a series of activities to celebrate the 105th Anniversary of the civil engineering discipline. Alumni from home and abroad gathered to celebrate the anniversary.

At 8:30, the Alumni Summit Forum opened in A101 lecture hall and DUANMU Yiwen, Party Secretary of the College of Civil Engineering presided over the Opening Ceremony. At 9:00, keynote speeches started. At 13:30, the Departments of Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Bridge Engineering, Disaster Mitigation of Structures, Hydraulic Engineering as well as the College of Civil Engineering held their respective forums. The Alumni communicated warmly and made suggestions to the development of the College and University. At 18:30, the 105th anniversary celebration evening party was held in the University Auditorium. Three chapters of "Starting the Dream", "Inheriting the Dream" and "Continuing the Dream" demonstrated the Civil Engineering’s growth and perseverance throughout its long history.

Celebration activities of the 105th Anniversary further promoted communication cooperation among alumni, gathered the wisdom and energy from the alumini home and abroad, and inherited the Tongji culture of civil engineering.
