From October 10 to 11, the Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government organized a review of the preliminary design for the East China Sea Seabed Observation Platform and for the Monitoring and Data Center in Shanghai.

An expert panel of 11 people headed by Academician SONG Junqiang, including Academician LI Jiaxuan gave their appraisal and constructive suggestions to the preliminary design. The pass of the review meant another important step forward towards implementation of the project.
