Five First-Level Disciplines Approved to Set up Post-doctoral Research Stations

On September 27, 2019, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security issued jointly with the National Postdoctoral Management Committee "Notice on Approving the Establishment of 339 Postdoctoral Research Stations". Five post-doctoral research stations were authorized to set up at Tongji University in applied economics, political science, foreign language and literature, landscape architecture, and design following the review by an expert panel from the National Postdoctoral Management Committee, ranking the third in the number of stations. Up to now, the total number of postdoctoral research stations at Tongji University has increased to 30.


The University has been making efforts to find new ways to improve its post-doctoral cultivation mechanism and increase the post-doctoral benefits, which resulted in attracting outstanding doctoral graduates from home and abroad to its post-doctoral platform for high-level research work. The post-doctoral research teams have become an important part in realizing the University's strategy of strengthening the university by research.
