Miss ZHANG Mengmeng, an undergraduate student of the year 2015 from Medical School, Tongji University turned out to be a matched donor of hematopoietic stem cells not long ago. On the morning of June 10th, the donation ceremony was held at Huashan Hospital. Miss Zhang became the 453th hematopoietic stem cell donor in Shanghai and ignited the hope of life of a patient.

It has been more than two years since Mengmeng joined the China Marrow Bank at the end of 2016. She was excited to learn about the successful matching in February this year, for she took it as an opportunity for her as a future medical practitioner to save a life. Lying on the bed, Mengmeng kept pressing the pink "star" in her hand and saw her blood flowing along the tube to a spinning machine, thus bringing hope to another life.
