From May 16th to 19th, the 2019 China Stroke Conference and the Ninth National Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Diseases Forum were held at the Beijing National Convention Center. Dr. Liang Aibin, vice president of Tongji Hospital affiliated to Tongji University, was awarded the Model Hospital Director of Stroke Prevention and Control Project of the National Health Commission 2019.

Tongji Hospital started the construction of the Stroke Center in 2016, which was approved to be the Advanced Stroke Center in 2017.
