Training on IP Protection by Shanghai High People's Court and Tongji University

From May 6th to 10th, a training course on protection and development of intellectual property rights jointly organized by Shanghai High People's Court and Tongji University was held at Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property, Tongji University. More than 110 people participated in the training focused on the development trend of intellectual property rights, which was open to judicial personnel and lawyers at all levels of courts in Shanghai.

Well-known judges and scholars from the Supreme People's Court, the State Administration for Market Regulation, and such universities as Tongji University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai University, and East China University of Political Science and Law delivered lecturers on a range of topics including intellectual property protection and the construction of the five centers in Shanghai, and standards for substantial examination of brands.

The training course is part of the Cooperation Framework Agreement between Tongji and Shanghai High People's Court. On April 20th, 2018, Tongji University signed the Cooperation Framework Agreement for Strengthening IP Legal Education and Judicial Practices with Shanghai High People's Court, according to which both sides were to jointly organize international conferences and judicial training.
