Mr. Andrew Walters, Vice President of the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia, paid a visit to Tongji University on Sept.12th. Mr. GU Xianglin, Vice President of Tongji University met the delegation from UNSW headed by Mr. Walters at Yifu Building on the Siping Campus. People from relevant departments of Tongji were present at the meeting.
Mr. GU extended his warm welcome to the delegation and then introduced the history and current situation of Tongji University. He shared with them Tongji’s mission of building a world-class university based on teaching and research. The two parties had further discussions on campus infrastructure construction and digital operation management. The delegation was shown around the campus in the afternoon.

UNSW is a leading research institution in Australia as well as a member of the Group of Eight, the league of Australian elite universities. Tongji and UNSW have already started cooperation in the fields of architecture, civil engineering and life medicine.
