Tongji Law School Becomes the First Research Base of CILRC of China Law Society

A symposium themed Artificial Intelligence and Law jointly organized by the Cyberspace and Information Law Research Committee (CILRC) of China Law Society (CLS) and Law School of Tongji University was held at the Sino-French Center of Tongji University. During the symposium, an opening ceremony was held to mark the establishment of the first research base of CILRC of CLS at the Law School. The symposium was part of the first series activities of a national tour of Online Open Courses on Law initiated by CILRC of CLS.

 

Present at the symposium were LI Lin, vice chairman of CLS and chairman of CILRC, ZHOU Hanhua, executive vice chairman and secretary general of CILRC, SHI Weidong, executive vice president of Shanghai Law Society, JIANG Bo, vice president of Tongji University and WU Weimin, CPC secretary of the Law School as well as experts and scholars from different institutions and universities including Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Ministry of Public Security, the Higher People's Court of Shanghai, Peking University, Beijing Normal University, East China University of Political Science and Law, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tongji University and Tencent Research Institute.

 

After the opening ceremony, experts and scholars had in-depth discussions on the theme of Artificial Intelligence and Law in two sessions. AI has started a new era which in turn has brought new rules. Cutting-edged perspectives were explored at the symposium, which triggered further thinking and analyses in the participants.
