On October 31st, the first 2019 Employment Agreement of University Graduates in Shanghai with the serial number of No. 0000001 was signed at CCCC Highway Consultants Co., Ltd., Shanghai affiliated to China Communications Construction Co., Ltd.. between WANG Yuzhi, a student of the Class of 2019 on a Master’s degree program in Bridge Engineering with College of Civil Engineering, Tongji University and LIU Yangjing, head of Human Resource Department of CCCC Highway Consultants.
Mr. GAO Jian, the assistant general manager of Human Resource Department, China Communications Construction Co., Ltd., spoke high of the solid field knowledge and professional performances displayed by Tongji graduates in recent years. He expressed his gratefulness to them for their contributions to the development of the company and to the University for its strong support to China Communications Construction.
According to Mrs. XU Xun, head of Career Center, Tongji University, the signing of the first agreement came as a result of Career Guidance Program strongly promoted by Tongji. The University, as a national key institution of higher learning, has been upholding the principle of “nurturing talents with virtues” as a way to serve national strategies for social and economic development of the country by providing talents with all round qualities for the society. In recent years, Tongji University has been committed to educating students to meet the needs for national mega projects such as Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Cooperative Development, the Changjiang River Economic Zone Development and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area projects in response to the Belt & Road Initiative. In this way, students are provided with more job opportunities upon their graduation.
