The Music and Performing Arts Week of Tongji University of the 35th annual Shanghai Spring International Music Festival is to open during the 111st anniversary of the University. From May 14 to 18, 2018 a series of events will be held at Tongji campuses including a campus version of the opera "Jiangjie", a large original drama "Striving on the Same Boat", a concert staged by teachers and students from the College of Art and Communications，and lecture series on music theories themed "Building In-depth Structures on the Basis of More Deconstruction".

The event is organized by the Organizing Committee of Shanghai Spring International Music Festival and Tongji University and hosted by College of Art and Communications of Tongji University and the University Art Center. It aims at showcasing an innovative way of teaching in art education at Tongji University in recent years, to promote the connotations of art education as well as demonstrating the cultural confidence of Tongji University.
