On Apr. 21stand 22nd, the Shanghai Red Cross Training for College Paramedic Ambulance 2018 was held in the Lecture Hall 401 of Zhonghe Building, Tongji University.The event, sponsored by the Red Cross Society of China, Shanghai Branch, and organized by the Red Cross Society of Tongji University, provided first aid training for teachers and students from colleges and universities in Shanghai. It focused mainly on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation(CPR), use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) device and Trauma Nursing, where brochures, guidebooks and first aid kits for first aid were used. After a detailed and professional explanation, the audience participated in their hands-on practice by exercising their CPR and use of the AED device. The trainers observed the class and offered immediate guidance when the audience used the triangle bandage to perform the simulated haemostasis for such cases as bleeding on head, eye, chest, knee, forearm fracture, intestinal extra vasation,and twisting. All teachers and students were presented the Certificate for Shanghai Paramedic after they finished the assessment for bandaging skills and first-aid knowledge.
