In order to promote the university-industry cooperation and cultivate the enthusiasm for innovation and entrepreneurship among university students, the League Committee of Tongji University, School of Materials Science and Engineering, School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, together with Covestro, Ltd. and Rehau, Ltd., launched the “2nd Tongji-Covestro Innovation Competition and the Covestro-Rehau Advanced Materials Design and Innovation Competition” in September 2017.
A total of 73 projects were submitted by more than 260 student participants from 57 teams of 12 schools, Tongji University. On November 14th, a symposium was held on the market application of materials, and 15 teams made it into the final round. The awards ceremony was held on January 9th at the Venture Center of Yangpu District.
