The awarding ceremony of Huang Jinzhi Civil Engineering Scholarships took place at Room A804 in the College of Civil Engineering (CCE), Tongji University on the afternoon of Dec. 20th, 2017. Prof. GU Xianglin, Vice President of Tongji University, leaders, teachers, and students from CCEalong with Prof. HUANG Jinzhi, Chairman of Shanghai Hunag Jinzhi Fund for Educational Development attended the ceremony.
In his speech, Prof. HUANG recalled the seven years he spent in Tongji as a student, and expressed his sincere gratitude to Tongji University as well as his supervisor for their guidance and help with his life-long career.
After HUANG`s speech, the scholarship winners were awarded the certificates by Prof. HUANG, Prof. GU, and Mr. ZHAO Xianzhong, President of CCE. Prof. HAUNG also donated books to the teacher and student representatives.
At the 110th Anniversary of Tongji University, Shanghai Hunag Jinzhi Fund for Educational Development launched Huang Jinzhi Civil Engineering Scholarship program at Tongji with a donation of a million RMB to support students with their study and young college teacherswith their career development.
Prof. HUNAG is an outstanding alumnus who graduated from the Department of Industrial and Civil Engineering, Tongji University in 1960. After graduation, he has made outstanding achievements in running both business and education.
