On Dec. 21st, commissioned by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Fund of Tongji Alumni, a judge panel made up of alumni from Class 95, including MAOWeiying, founder of the Tecul Inc. and ZHANG Li, Managing Director of the Shanghai ShengdongYaohai Investment Fund, reviewed the entrepreneurial projects submitted by students from Tongji University. Ultimately, 20 projects stood out and received the ‘Dream Booster’ fund (Phase II) ranging from 1,500 to 3,000 RMB respectively.

Launched in October, the Dream Booster(Phase II) also established a technology and innovation group, onemainly set forthe SITP projects of Tongji University and those with great potential for market transformation. The activity has attracted 337 projects from different fields, such as environmental science, artificial intelligence (AI), Internet+, biology and civil engineering. 25 out of them have made it into the final review.
Different from other reviewwork, the Dream Booster fund only distinguished different groups (technological innovation, general innovation and entrepreneurship).Projects form the three groups were put together and judged based their group category. Then, they were ranked by the total marks they got and were ratified by the panel with corresponding amount of fund. Of the 20 projects, most werefrom sophomores and juniors who competed with PhD and post-doctoral students and even teachers.
