On Dec. 16th, Dr. Sunita Satyapal, Director of the Fuel Cell Technologies Office (FCTO) under the US Department of Energy (DOE), Rajesh Ahluwahlia, Professor of Argonne National Laboratory, and Dr. WANG Quanlu, a senior scientist from Argonne National Laboratory, visited the New Energy Automotive Engineering Center of Tongji University.

Sunita first introduced the latest research progress DOE made in the field of new energy vehicles, especially Fuel Cell Vehicles (FCV). He then continued to talk about the technologies as well as ongoing and future development of FCV and its supporting infrastructure.
Professor MA Tiancai, Deputy Director of the Engineering Center, briefed Sunita and his colleagues on the research work in the New Energy Automotive Engineering Center in the field of fuel cell and integrated hydrogen power system, to which Sunita expressed his recognition.

Later on, Sunita and his colleagues, accompanied by Professor MA, Professor LIN Rui and Professor HOU Yongping, visited the laboratory of the New Energy Automotive Engineering Center. Meanwhile, both parties exchanged views on the development of new energy sources and the prospect of fuel cells. Sunita also expressed his willingness to deepen the cooperation between China and the United States in the field of clean energy vehicles, especially FCV.
