On Nov. 28th, a delegation from Linkoping University (LiU), Sweden, led by its President, Helen Dannetun, paid a visit to Tongji University. ZHONG Zhihua, President of Tongji University, met with the delegation at the Yifu Building and signed a framework cooperation agreement with President Dannetun.
ZHONG first extended a warm welcome to President Dannetun and her fellow colleagues. He then introduced to them the overall situation and internationalization at Tongji University, the cooperation Tongji has with other universities and enterprises, and Tongji’s comprehensive reforms. He also suggested the two universities cooperate in such aspects as student exchange, scientific research and innovation and entrepreneurship education.
Expressing her gratitude to ZHONG for Tongji’s warm reception, President Dannetun introduced the latest developments at Linkoping University, the roles of its different campuses, the student-centered personnel training pattern, and LiU’s participation in major national and European research projects. She hoped for successful cooperation in different respects between the two universities.
