I hope more efforts can be made in the study and promotion of ZHU Fengbo’s singing art by fraternities from theoretical and music field so that the unique singing art and the lofty artistic pursuits of the older generation could continue to develop and then flourish, thereby further enhancing our cultural self-confidence.’ TU Bahai, a renowned composer and conductor who has had long-term music cooperation with ZHU, made this remark on the ‘ZHU Fengbo Singing Art Forum’ held by Tongji University with the theme of ‘Nurturing the World with Music, and the People with Virtue’ on November 3rd, evoking a strong echo among artists and music teachers from universities at the forum.
On the same day, ZHU Fengbo, an alumna of Tongji University in her 80s, returned to her alma mater, attended the forum and delivered a speech.
On the evening of November 3rd, the ‘ZHU Fengbo Classic Music Concert’ was held at the 129 Auditorium of Tongji University. Nearly 20 classic works by ZHU Fengbo were presented jointly by singers YANG Xuejin and LI Wei, and teachers and students including WANG Yida, QIN Lu, JIA Tongyao, LI Yanfeng and WEN Kailan.
