The Collegiate Computer Systems and Programming Contest (CCSP), organized by China Computer Federation (CCF), ended on Oct. 27th. After an intense, 14-hour competition,competitors from the College of Electronics and Information Engineering (CEIE), Tongji University garnered four gold medals, one silver medal, and two bronze medals, with team accomplishments ranking second in the country.

The CCSP is a leading computer contest for college students on the national scale, which seeks to push the national computer education in universities to the next level. The competition has two defining features: the target audience and the ability test of competitors. In terms of the target audience this year, more than 6,000 representatives from over 700 enterprises and government institutions watched the real-time university and individual ranking of the CCSP at the venue of China National Computer Congress (CNCC).In terms of the ability test, CCSP aims to examine competitors` comprehensive skills of computer system, algorithm and program design. The Contest focuses on a variety of aspects in computer study, including principles of computer engineering, system operating, compiling, networking, and data storage so as to test college students` comprehensive ability to apply computational knowledge.
