On the afternoon of October 29th, distinguished alumni, teachers, and students at home and abroad, attended the 2017 Tongji University Italian-Campus Carnival held jointly by personnel at the Sino-Italian Campus of Tongji University and the Alumni Association of the Sino-Italian Cultural Center at the Alumni Home on the Siping Campus, Tongji University. The activity served as a platform for participants to exchange their ideas and sample campus life through such channels as alumni experience sharing, student performances, and dessert making as well as the Italian cuisine and market displays.
Tongji’s cooperation with their Italian counterparts constitutes an important part in the overall cooperation plan between Tongji University and Europe. Over the years, the academic and cultural cooperation between China and Italy has been vigorously promoted through the joint efforts made by the personnel at the Sino-Italian Campus of Tongji University and the Sino-Italian Cultural Center Platform.
Representatives of distinguished alumni XI Zhixia, LIU Chang and LIU Xiaochang, shared with students their study and work experience in Italy on ‘employment,’ ‘further study,’ and ‘studying abroad,’ respectively. Members from the Campus Desserts Club illustrated the way of making Italian tiramisu and then demonstrated the process of making it. Meanwhile, international students on double-degree courses from Bologna University and Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy staged their guitar performances and Italian song chorus.
