The First Summit Forum for Psychological and Cerebral Science in Tongji University

Recently, the First Summit Forum for Psychological and Cerebral Science at Tongji University took place in the lecture hall of the Yifu Building, School of Humanities (SOF). The forum was jointly sponsored by SOF, Tongji University, and the Shanghai Psychological Society, with the liberal arts office of Tongji as the co-organizer. Thirteen renowned psychologists attended the forum, all from China’s top universities and research institutes, including Beijing University, the Psychological Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zhejiang University, Nanjing University, Central South University, East China Normal University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai Normal University and Tongji University.

The Summit Forum sought to provide insights into the new trends in psychological and neurocognitive study, which would, in turn, push forward multidisciplinary integration and innovation. During the conference, the distinguished attendees shared their latest academic achievements in psychology and cerebral science with enthusiastic dedication. Their reports focused mainly on six topics: the relation between neuroscience and genetic research, social cognitive neuroscience, the pathogenic mechanism of clinical psychology, cognition training and aging, psychotherapy based on family systems, and means of stepping up the influence of psychological research within China.
