Tongji Business Incubator Valley along with Shanghai Tongji Science and Technology Incubator ParkCo., Ltd. was awarded with "National College Student Business IncubatorDemonstration Park". Tongji University was the only university that won an award of this kind among universities in Shanghai.

The Central Committee of the Communist Youth League launched in December 2016 the application, recommendation and selection processes of "National College Student Business IncubatorDemonstration Park" which were mainly meant for incubation platforms for college studentbusiness Incubators, universities or organizations in cooperation with universities. In recent three years, Tongji Business Incubator Valleyhas attracted 779 "market-oriented, forward-looking and interdisciplinary" projectsfrom 28 departments and schools of Tongji University.Afterevaluation, 302 projects signed agreements with and entered the valley and more than 1,100 students have become Valley Members. After proper training provided by the valley,66 project teams started to run their businesseswhich had attracted investment over RMB48.64 million yuan andcapital endowments of 100 million yuan. Tongji Business Incubator Valley along with Tongji University Science and Technology Park has gradually formed a professional incubator service platform composed ofdifferent parts including investment and financing, human resources, startup business training and market promotion.
