Tongji’s First Batch of Four National Key Research Projects on “Stem Cells and Transformation” Initi

From December 14th to 15th, a meeting was held at the Oriental Hospital of Tongji University for initiation of four national key research and development projects -- special pilot research projects on stem cells transformation including Stem Cells and Pathological Tissue Repository of Nervous System and Heart-related Diseases, Mechanism and Transformational Research Based on Mobilization of Endogenous Neural Stem Cell Repairing Spinal Cord Injury,Correlation and Dynamic Control Mechanism of Histopathology and DNA Modification in Cell Programming and Reprogramming and Mechanism of Transdifferentiation and Regeneration of Islet Cells in Diabetes Mellitus within Microenvironment. More than ten people attended the meeting including vice President GU Xianglin, people from Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, well-known experts in the field of stem cells and project researchers.
